Wednesday. Today we went to Universal Studios - It was awesome! Everything seems to be going so easy, getting around, buying tickets etc its a piece of cake. L.a actually isnt as scary as we thought it would be. Its very clean and most of all we have noticed how friendly and helpful everyone is. There are always police patrolling and walking around which is reassuring. We just hope we include everything in this journal as there is so much to say as we have already done so much! The day started early, and we went to an internet cafe to try and download the photos, unfortunately it didnt work- but dont worry we'll suss it soon! We got the bus and then changed onto the metro (l.a's version of the underground), again, alot cleaner newer and tidier than ours. We bought our tickets over the net which saved us $20 which was cool. Universal was VERY exciting!!! We did a studio tour and saw apparantly where they film desperate housewives, however alot of this tour appeared to be stagd for the tourists!! The back to the future ride was wicked, the mummy ride ( their newest and best attraction rollercoaster) was pants! Charlie had her photo with her new buddy Sponge Bob Square Pants, we bought a refillable drinks sipper - see photos, and he spent the day with us and will probably be coming to Fiji also. We saw lots of cool characters, saw some amazing shows, the best being Waterworld. It was an unbeleivable stunt show, involving you guessed it - lots of water, boats, jet skis, guns, explosions, fire - It was mega!!! The 3d and 4d shows were also brill - basically it was all fantastic and a really awesome day!! To end the day we went around universal city, which is the nighlife of the park. Lots of huge neon lights, bands, live shows and HARD ROCK CAFE! It had a central circular bar with a big old cadillac spinning around above it. The burgers were amazing, we also had chicken wings and beer with a hurricae cocktail. It was a very tiring day but the best day so far. Today it is Lee's birthday- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!XXX We are about to leave the hostel for a change of scenery at a hotel, baths galore!!!
