SUNDAY. So we arrived safe and sound, after what was a very easy journey. The trip in the van was a piece of cake as was the tube. The airport and beers were mint, and we fully reccomend flying with Virgin - it was fantastic - free goody bag of socks, masks ear plugs - which Smilz was pleased with - and has also humg onto -noot sure why? Even had our own phones, and could choose wha to watch which was mint. Also, first class flying, was jessie metcalf (the fit gardner from desperate housewivs!!!!!) Anyway, we arrived at the the hostel after getting a little lost in Santa Monica - tried to catch some buses but it went a little wrong after the first one, but we did see U.C.L.A, in the dark so it wasnt that exciting. Sunday seemed quite a long day, but after showers and bed we were rigt as rain MONDAY. We were up quite early and took a bus to HOLLYWOOD. We went on a stars mission (looking at all the stars on the boardwalk on the floor) Having walked up and down twice we stumbled across quite a few - see pics. The Chinese theatre is awesome (and looked even better tonight all lit up-there was a premier tonight-theRock was there with about 12 limos and tons of security) We shopped and went to a few bars, checked out Mcdonalds for lunch and Burger King for a beverage which was rather large! Basically, walked our little socks off. When we got back we went to the local store and bought - yes you guessed it - BEER! We then sat out in the courtyard where we we met some other fellow travellrs all very exciting! TUESDAY. Today went to Venice Beach, Santa Monica. Again on the bus, you can buy a day pass for $3 which is a bargain! This is the baywatch beach and it was HUGE!!! Also the boardwalk, where Lost Boys was set. We also saw Bubba Gumps shrimp house, it even had a box of chocolates and a suitcase outside on a bench(Forrest Gump) We saw lots of roller bladers and cyclists, joggers etc. Muscle beach was a bit quiet today and we have told that it is busier on a weekend, so e plan to go back there. Tonight we have just got back fom Hooters which was fun, but the food wasnt that impresive. tomorow we go to Universal, so all very busy !!!!!xx
