Today I ventured up the Dandegong mountain ranges with Vicky and her family. Luckily it was a nice warm day so even though we were in the mountains it was still really nice and warm =) We visited a park where the Roselles (pretty red and blue parrot-like birds) flock down when you arrive. A nice change from London's pigeons..!! We spent the rest of the morning looking round the gardens up the side of the mountains, and later visited a little village on the mountain where we ate pie. We then looked round some of the craft shops in the village, and on our way back down encountered a kookabura. I was very excited as I have only ever found such creatures in the song before,and i managed to get very close before it flew off so i have some good pictures too.Tomorrow, neighbours tour...!!!
