Hey guys! Just thought i'd update everyone on my time spent in Cairns since the girls left..I've met loads of lovely people at my hostel, it seems that travelling on your own means you meet more travellers! Have spent a few of the last 10 days enjoying the sunshine down by the man-made lagoon. Cairns is actually a great place to stay for a while- i was definitely busy for most of my stay! Went on a road trip with a few girls in my hostel up to Cape Tribulation (again!). We rented a car for a few days and drove around enjoying the beautiful scenery. Went to Mossman Gorge which was gorgeous, and very green! Saw loads of tree frogs and a giant spider just outside our room where we stayed! Went for a day trip to Kuranda with a bunch of people i met, and had a picnic at the waterfalls. Did a scenic tour of the great barrier reef in a tiny weeny plane, which was amazing, and got some great pics! Also did a skydive!!! Spent the other day on green island with a friend snorkelling and sunbathing- it was tropical paradise! So, Cairns is great... not just the city, but also everything that can be accessed from it. Glad the girls loved Fiji, and i hope they have a fantastic time in Melborne! Im heading back to Perth tonight for a couple of weeks, so see you all soon! Love Claire xxx
