We've spent 3 nights in a place called Udaipur - it's meant to be the romantic capital of Indian and at first it seemed beautiful we had a really nice rooftop meal the first night looking over this lake and the buildings looked palace like and Italian, however the next day we both came in after sunbathing for no longer than 2 hours looking like we'd been shoved in the oven - complete lobster (we're blaming this on our malaria tablets as it says to be careful in sun and not the fact we are pasty pale brits), we visited the palace which was massive and really beautiful however felt slightly like a long school trip after a while especially as we couldn't hear a word the guide was saying, we wandered back through the market and both found real leather bags costing 400rupees which is only about £4! Getting a little fed up of all the Indian food and spices so found this 'US pizza place' outside our hotel which we went to for lunch but for dinner was an authentic Indian restuarant we also all shared 2 shisha's after at. Today which was our last day was chilled and we were able to do what we wanted so relaxed by the pool before going out to dinner at this place where you can eat 'thali' which is a sort of Indian version of tapas which all comes in little pots that are constantly getting refilled!
