We had a early start of 4.30 to get a 7 hour train journey to Mumbai. Thankfully the train was air conditioned so we didn't all just melt to death but it was horrible as soon as you left the train as you were hit in the face with this horrible sticky heat. The hotel was basic but only for one night. We got a taxi journey all round Mumbai to the main attractions, the hanging garden, the beach, the slums - which were horrible, it's unbelievable people have found a way to live like that! and the gateway of India where we were pestered by mountains of Indians asking for a photo which eventually we literally had to sprint away from! We went to this snazzy bar for dinner where we had something non-Indian to eat as we're literally fed up of curry!
