Week 8- Thailand (Koh Samui) Day 2
Our last day on the Thai Islands with the lads :-( We have had such a good time yet it's gone so quick! Gemma had spotted a restaurant that had a good breakfast deal the night before so we headed off into the town to get breakfast. We all ordered a full English fry up, I was so excited about the hash browns to then find to my disappointment they had ran out. Nevertheless, it was still a really good breakfast!
Brad had spotted some Beats (Dr Dre) speakers that he wanted to buy so we sent him off to do some bartering while we went to collect our laundry and put it back in the hotel. We myself and Gemma thought we were never going to see him again, it took him forever (we should have never have trusted him to go off alone haha). After about an hour he came back with a long speaker for him, a mini wireless speaker for me and a he also got himself some big headphones... It sounds like he got a good deal so he was happy!
We decided to check out the other hotel swimming pool so we headed down there and met Maffo. The pool was really quiet so we pretty much had it to ourselves. We spent the day chilling out, having a laugh and playing music on the speakers. Later on in the afternoon a French lady shouted at us saying it wasn't a discotechque which we found highly amusing, so we took the hint and turned the music off. Yet again we all had a magnum gold ice cream (we are all starting to get slightly obsessed).
We all headed back to our rooms to do some packing and get ready for our evening out. We decided we fancied a change so we found a Greek restaurant on trip advisor. It was so amazing, especially the hallomi cheese. At the end of our meal the owner gave us all a shot of ouzo, what a disgusting drink that is!
On our way down to dinner we had spotted a campervan which had been converted into a bar with pretty lights and seating outside so we decided to go there for drinks. We drunk one too many frozen strawberry daiquiris which were really tasty and spent the evening catching up on the past 6 months with Maffo, hearing some entertaining stories! It started to rain so we decided it was time to head back as we had to be up at 3.30am for our flight back to Bangkok. During the night while asleep I managed to frantically wake Brad up by grabbing him thinking there was something on the ceiling, to the point I even made him turn his phone torch on to check. It was only after about 30 seconds I realised I was dreaming!! Brad has found this completely hilarious.. I'm blaming the side effects of the malaria tablets ;-)
