Week Two- Goa- Day 6
Oh yes you guessed it we had another day on the beach! There is becoming a running theme of this week! I think we had enough drama yesterday for two days so today we actually had a really chilled day. We listened to our iPods and had regular dips in the sea to cool down. Charlotte had a few more runnings with the men taking photos! We aren't taking any of it now and we have made them very aware of this. It makes us laugh they that they try and be all secretive and discreet but leave their flash on half the time!
We have really wanted to try Goan fish curry all week but wanted to try it in a decent local restaurant so we knew we were getting the real deal! We searched it up on trip advisor and found a place in Old Vagator which looked hopeful, however, when we got there we were disappointed to find it shut! It is the very end of the season so lots of the restaurants have already closed down until the next season. We decided to have a wonder down to the seafront to have a look at the restaurants there. After walking up and down the road a few times we decided to go into a hotel which had a restaurant that looked over the whole entire beach. It was also pretty busy which is always a good sign! We had timed it perfectly because just as we sat down the sun was setting. It was completely beautiful, it looked like a postcard photo.
Gemma had a cocktail to celebrate her brothers birthday (Happy birthday Joe) and we both ordered fish curry. When we originally sat down we were a bit worried about the price as it was quite fancy compared to the other places we had been! However, it turned out that the fish curry was £2 and so was the cocktails, happy days! We decided to splash out and also have a desert as it was our last proper meal out in India. The fish curry was amazing and tasted really fresh! This was a lovely ending to our adventure in India.
