Hello! Right before i start does anyone actually watch Neighbours? Was a bit of a strange day for me considering I havent watched it in about 10 years, but i wasnt the only one!
They played a few classic episodes on the way to and from the studios so we could get an idea of who was still in it etc-we even saw Susan Kennedy drive past us about 5 foot away! It was exciting at the time but then later a few of them were out taking photos and stuff so we were more star struck by that...well i say star struck, most people were quite chilled about it!
Its started to warm up here finally, typical seing as im leaving today to go to Christchurch. Apperently its snowing etc there im really not looking forward to that! Am starting my trip round NZ on Saturday so that should be cool.
So yeah...Neighbours,...if anyone canhelp me out with who half the characters are in the pics that would be great! I know Karl Kennedy and i know a bit about that random Irish guy, but other than that i was pretty clueless. We even had a quiz! Luckily it wasnt too Neighbours related, but we still didnt even get in the top 6 teams (there were about 30 so we cant have been THAT bad!).
When we were looking around the street and on the sets, it all looks a lot smaller in real life. Apparenty they use the same buildings for the hospital, airport, jail, police station and some other things. They just change the sign on the door and shoot it from different angles. Some of the other scenes are filmed in cardboard backgrounds as well which i though was quite funny.
In the evening after the quiz, Karl Kennedys band came out to play. The singing was taken over by Paul Robinson though so it wasnt really Dr Karl singing all night. He was pretty good though and they played some good songs. It was a good night overall.
