After 7 months on the road I decided to take a little holiday from my holidays. A french girl that I met in Exmouth was nice enough to offer me a place to stay at the BnB she was running while the owners were away.

So instead of flying back to Cairns I flew down to Perth and hired a car for the week. The first day was spent in Perth catching up with friends and just relaxing. on The saturday I went to the Swan Valley with Courtey (Max - an old school friend), his girlfriend and some of their friends. We spent the afternoon sitting around a winery drinking red wine and generally talking trash. around 5pm our bus picked us up from the winery and dropped us at a concert at this cool little amphitheatre. The concert was Mumford and Sons supported by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (both bands I love and are great to see live).

Sunday was spent in a rather fragile state so I had brunch with Harriet and Listy in the morning and lay around feeling sorry for myself with Max and Co in the afternoon. Mid afternoon I finally got off my ass and drove down to Margs. After some terrible traffic getting out of Perth the rest of the trip was fairly easy. Emeilie met me at the BnB with a bottle of wine and some delicious fresh cooked food.

The next few days were spent equally between sitting on the couch or the porch drinking red wine and eating french food and attempting not to drown in the massive waves that the region is renowned for.

All in all a very relaxing and lovely way to spend a week off.
