Thursdeeeey 11th

Got picked up this morn by Disco are new driver, he was totally cute! Deff my favourite driver to date :) He was pretty geeky with his knee high socks and jesus sandles but a really nice guy! The drive wasn't too bad, arrived in Airlie around 5pm. checked into our dorm at magnums...it's sooooo RANK. Honestly looks like a concentration camp and smells pretty funky too :/

Disco booked us a table at moroccos for a night out with our bus :) Was such a good night! On arrival we recieved afree jug of beer, then ruth came 2nd in the limbo competition (we got free shots with every successful limbo :P) so she won us a $25 bar tab :D It was karaoke night so after a few more drinks with singed ourselves up..."the suffolk sensation!" Ohhhh mannn it was baaaaaaaad! We decided to sing 1000 miles by vanessa carlton.. Needless to say we didn't win, but got another drink for our efforts :D Finished up in mamma africas nightclub completely smashed having not spent a single penny...TIDY!

Our whitsunday trip was booked for the 15th so spent the weekend bumming around the lagoooon, reading A LOT. Managed to get throught the lovely bones in a few days. I cried sooo much at the end, got some very strange looks. Can't wait to see the filum... Just picked up the time travellers wife :D

I've realised i'm carrying around 7 pairs of footwear?!?! what ever happened to travelling light! To pass time we treated ourselves to session at the spa :) Had a back and neck massage. Was really good except she totally attcked my shoulders trying to get all the knots out!! The weather has been pretty poop since we arrived in Airlie, apparently there's a cyclone on the way...may not be able to do our whitsundays trip! Misson:TAN isn't looking too good..

Monday 15th

Luckily our boat did get the go ahead :D So packed up all our shizzle and boarded the Tongarra! The weather on the way to our first overnight stop was HORRENDOUS! The sea was soooo choppy and the rain was relentless. not gunna lie, i felt major sea sick :( Dinner was LUSH though! Had some chicken thing with creamy mash and fresh bread :P Fell asleep on the top deck under the tent, being rocked to sleep by the seaaaaaa :)

Tuesday 16th

We were woken up at 6am this morn by david gray blaring out "sail away" !! It took about 2.5 hours to get to turtle cove and white haven beach. We were told that 6 out of the 7 species of turtle live in turtle cove however we only managed to spot one bobbing around in the distance..The beach was really lush for about the 40 mintutes of sunshine we had before the heavens decided to open :(

In the afternoon we went to another cove off hook island to do some snorkelling :D The coral was amazing, i think i prefered it to the GBR! There were hundreds of fish swimming all around me getting right up in my mask!
We then headed back to the same spot we spent the first night. Again dinner was scrummy...spagg bol and garlic bread :P I ate sooo much felt like a i had an 8month food baby!

...Geeting back on land was a strange sensation, i still felt like a i was rocking! Went out in the eve for paddy's day...Turned out to be another totally free night, i even got a free guiness t-shirt..SCORE :P! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
