Monday 8th March

Had a really early start and a very long day ahead...Our bus picked us up at 7am!! We drove for a little while before stopping in some rainforest and being told an aboriginal creation story about some river where loads of young men keep dying becuase of this evil lady spirt...didnt really listen to much of the story as i was more concerned with this huge, flying, rank, moth looking bug that kept landing on my legs!! Shrtly after we stopped at maccy dees for an egg and bacon roll :P totally scrummy! We then drove to an animal sanctuary but decided not to go in and pay...while we were waiting for the rest of our bus to get back we got to hold a baby crocodile and a snake :D

We eneded up missing the 4.30 ferry to magnetic island, so it was gone 7pm by the time we actually arrived at the hostel :( Was not in the best of moods...

Tuesday 9th

Got well burnt today! It was couldy so thought i'd be okay and didnt bother with the suncream...what a mistake. Honest to god my face was the colour of a tomato! I looked like i was experiencing the menopause, having a serious hot flush or somthng. NOT GOOD. Attempted to play some pool in the evening with joel-canadian guy we met. I was shocking, after about three games i managed to pot one ball, followed by hitting myself in the face with the pool stick. I should have quit whilst i was ahead!! After that performance i decided to call it a night and head to bed :)

Wednesday 10th

Woke up to a monsoon of rain! Had to make a dash to the toilet though, i was so desperate! Got completely soaked within the few seconds i spent running from our dorm to the toilet block..not gunna lie, spent the rest of the morning in bed :) We even ate our cereals in bed! As for the tomato face...still looks like a tomato (BRILLIANT) Rained for the rest of the day, i'm not complaining, can't afford to burn my face anymore!!
