We got to the airport again this morning and everything was going to plan... right up until the captain said there was a problem with the aeroplane so we couldn't take off. Apparently they'd stacked the bags and it was massively lopsided. He said this had never happened to him before in 20 years of flying... so I wouldn't fly with me and Rob anytime soon the luck we have!
Anyway, eventually we set off and landed in Chicago that afternoon. We had an absolutely beautiful hotel, who'd given us a room with an amazing view and a bath because they felt so sorry for me and my arms!
We'd heard that the Chicago Cubs, the Major League Baseball champions were playing the New York Yankees, and this was the last night. We wasted no time and bought some last minute tickets, then headed out for dinner whilst trying to learn the rules of baseball!
We had a really good time at the game, it's quite like rounders so it was quite easy to pick up the basics, and we really enjoyed it. It ended up being a historic game, one of the longest at the ground (which is pretty famous) with the most strike outs ever there. At 12.30 we had to leave in case our tram stopped running for the night, and it was still going four and a half hours in! Some fans listening on the subway told us it ended two sets later, so we didn't do too badly!
