Today in a massive display of bad judgement we hired bikes. La Paz is very hilly, I braked too hard, and flipped over the handlebars breaking my left wrist and right elbow, and seriously spraining my right shoulder too. Luckily we got a taxi straight to the hospital. Even luckier Rob sent the X-rays to an orthopaedic surgeon in the UK, as the consultant in La Paz missed the elbow break!

So one cast and sling later we got another taxi home, and spent the afternoon buying clothes that would fit over my cast, straws to drink through, and a large hot chocolate to soothe my bruised ego...
