So today I took local walk called The Dreaming (well at least that what I reckon it's called ) with Canadian Erin & Dutch Tom (aka the loved up couple ). So we wear our bikinis pack a towel throw on some light clothes an take some water, jump in the bus and take what seems like a short ride away to the enchanted .... Ha ha
So we arrive ; to learn we have to take a 9K walk to get to where we need to be and 1hr 20minutes later I'm fed up & why - No not because all us British do Is complain because - I've just seen the same continuos long green path for the past hour. There's no pretty flowers to look at and even no creepy creatures just annoying ones that's keep nipping u every two seconds. But hey we made it now time for the Lacey Creek walk & think that was 7 K and took just as long.
A forest full of narrow steps with overgrown bushes takin over the pathway; so close that u walk through at least 20 spider webs. Then reality hits were in a forest in A tropical state of Australia with the most poisonous spiders in the world and were disturbing their homes - Oh God - we ARE goin to see a spider soon - and not that they scare me but more of a case of fear of the unknown - is it poisonous or is it just a big species. Either way we don't wana find out so tom crawls under the web and me and Erin follow suit. A few more of (what's this blogs picture ) HUGE spiders later and we hear the water. One by one we rip off
our tops and kick of our trainers and jump in (what was ) the coldest water I've experienced in Australia. By this point our water is warm and no-one wants to drink that but to be honest I'm
Not Guna drink the creek water either- though it's ok cause it's nearly 3 hours and out lift be here soon . We sit waiting patiently and a local
Man kinda appears from a bush he asks us have we jumped in the water and were like No it's not deep
Enough and he said if u walk thru those trees u can jump from height - so off we go and ... He was right u really can jump and there's more water - woohoo a bit of fun to end the day ;)& Jeeez it was cold ;-) time to head back.
Finish the day with a cold refreshing shower; a snack to eat; trip to the supermarket ($65later)& then back to Absolute;to watch a movie (The Holiday) good old chick flick to chill out too. Then we cooked food (myself & April-Erin's friend ) and then the hostel Quiz- and Yep u got it we won again myself and the Canadians are genius:-) All in all a good varied day- that's all from me now from the mission that is mission to find something to do x
