Today I(charlie) arrived alone here in wongaling beach nr mission beach Queensland. I'm living and working at Absolute backpackers and shall be my new home for the for-see able future. Yesterday I stayed in the YHA melbourne Central (again) in a 3 bed room (as getting up at 4am means I disturbed less people ).From here I took a 7am flight with tiger airways from melbourne to Cairns. I then took the Sun Palm transport bus from the airport to the greyhound bus stop. The Sun Palm desk was right next to the baggage carousel and they would take u pretty much any where u wanted. I got to the stop & my onward bus wasn't until 1pm so I took a stroll around - there's a nice Boardwalk and few shops and cafes nearby if u have a lot of luggage. By 3.10pm I arrived at my location - nice pleasant journey with wifi and usb charger port :) Absolute backpackers is the nearest hostel to the bus stop so u can just walk which is good. Nice simple check-in & drop off my things and straight to the pool.
The only thing to note is - Vodaphone Network does NOT work here so it was pointless topping up my phone 3 days ago :( Telstra is the network to be on - however the hostel has wifi so if you are only staying for a few days then it's ok x
