So.. Seattle for three days!!!! Most of the first day was spent flying... Second day I went into town and grabbed a fantastic veggie hot dog.. Wandered around.... Seattle is a cool city and probably one one my favorites... Everyone is so chilled out!!! There are heaps of random people wandering around... Heaps of cool little coffee shops... Awesome vegetarian restaurants and It has really cool old buildings!!! I got my nose pierced so that was fun....
The next day I spent being a total tourist !!! I went to pike place market... Saw the dudes singing and throwing the fish... Then i went to the space needle for a three course brunch... Yah it was a view of the city really... But the food was epic!!!!! After that I went on an underground tour!! It was awesome!!! So basically Seattle was built... And they built below sea level..... And on a hill... The tide would come in and screw up all the plumbing and flood the streets... Basically they failed at building a city.... So then anyway in the 1800s the city caught fire and burned down.. It was pretty damn unlucky.... It was a super hot summer so everything was dry....this apprentice woodworker was heating glue over a gas fire.... It boiled over and spilled... This then caught fire... Since it was a woodwork shop there were woodchips everywhere as well as turps soo that didn't help....the dude tried to put out the fire... With water... Which of course spread the fire.... What also didn't help was that there was a paint store above the woodwork shop and also a liquor store next door...the whole town was soon alight....like 30 blocks burned.... So when they anyway rebuilt they decided to rebuild higher and better so that the tide wouldn't come in and screw everything up.... So the tour is where you go underneath the new city to where the old city was and see where all the old streets and stores were... It was pretty awesome... The guide was amazing too and told us all about the history of Seattle...so now I am smart!!!!! And tomorrow I fly to Portland!! Yay!!!
