Yaayyy!!! New yorrrkkkk!!! Ya know what that means??? Statue of liberty!!!
So.... I freakin love NYC!!! It's hectic but it's awesome!! And it's so easy to get around!!!
So I didn't arrive until late... So the first night I just grabbed some dinner and went to my hotel where I scoped out all the things I wanted to do and figured out my few days ahead!!!
My list was massive and there was no way I would get it all done but I will be making two trips to NYC or maybe more.. So it's ok!!!
First day I trotted off to times square and grabbed myself a two day pass on a hop on/hop off tour bus... Best investment ever!! So much easier than finding subways or taxis or whatever... So day one I went to the Brooklyn bridge... I attempted to ground zero however the line was OVER a block long... So I opted out of that one...
Then I went to wall street to see the protesters!! So many people!! All camped out in this little courtyard kinda thing!! It was pretty fantastic to see!!! there were cops everywhere... Like 2 on every single corner plus some in between!!!! The bull was fenced off and even had it's own guard!!! Kinda ridiculous but whatever!! Ohhh I did see spongebob stop by to see the bull...
Kinda weird!
Then I went to the American Indian museum.. That was kinda cool!!
Then it was time for that lady... Ya know the green one???
Well the line was Massive!!! Like seriously a 10 min walk to the end of the line... I'm not even kidding!!
Luckily there were about four boats and they all held a tonne of people... So an hour and a half later I was on the boat!!
Yay!!!
The statue was full so I couldn't go in it... Hot tip for next time... Order reserve tickets so you can go in the crown!!! And so you can skip the line!
I then went to Ellis island which was fantastic!!!! The photos were amazing!! I am SO glad I was not one of those people!!! That afternoon I went to the observation deck at the rockafella centre and scoped out the city...
Then it was grand final night!!
Soo off to an Aussie bar i went to meet up with some random from couch surfing and hang out with every aussie in NYC to see geelong beat collingwood!!!! Yayy!!! Interestingly enough they served fosters!!! Weird!
The next day I made my way uptown to Harlem...
First stop was strawberry fields at central park!!! The park was beautiful!!! We also saw where John Lennon lived! I saw the Apollo theater which is where heaps of famous people had performed and who's careers started there... Ella Fitzgerald, James brown, Jackson 5, Aretha Franklin.... All the cool black kids basically...
I then went to the the museum of new York.. It was crap and boring and a waste of $10!!!
I then intended to go and hang out in central park... However it started raining...
And I mean raining like WHOA!!!!
So I spent the afternoon shopping in Soho! That place is awesome!!
That night i went on a tour called the ride..
It was so fantastic!! It was a night tour of New York and along the way you stopped and they had dancers/singers/actors on the street performing...
It was really good!!!
That night at 11:59 I jumped on the bus to head back to PA!!!
