PORTLAND!!!! Seattle and Portland were the places I have been looking forward to the most!!! And Portland was no disappointment!! The people here are SO nice!!!!
So first day... I got to the hotel... OMFG!!!! Thank god I have a sleep sack cos there is no freakin way I am sleeping in that bed! Ugh the room is gross!!! Plan is to avoid the room as much as possible... I can deal with a few day of no sleep and catch up when I get to PA!!! Uggghhh it's sooo gross!!!!
So first thing was to go downtown and scope out what it's like...
Bad idea... Two pairs of shoes later.... I had scoped out downtown...
I did however manage to make a new friend at Macy's who I planned to go out with that night!!!
Unfortunately I got lost and didn't manage to meet her in time :(
So instead I went to the bar that was next to the hotel... Managed to meet a bazillion year old Russian scientist who was there for a confrence... Learned all about pigs and DNA and also the soviet union so that was cool!!! I also met some random dude who told me some awesome places to go...one place was an bar that had really old arcade games... We actually planned to meet up the next night and scope out some bars.... So... After avoiding my room as much as possible I eventually had to go to bed :/
The next day I went around town some more.... Went to the arcade place then met up with the random dude...
We went to dinner at this old school that has been turned into a restaurant and a bunch of bars!!! It was so weird but awesome!!!! I then learned to play shuffleboard... I won the first game and he won the second so that was pretty good... After that we went to some place and had coffee.. But it was like ummm belgium or something... So it had 10 tonne of alcohol and the dude threw it in the air and caught stuff on fire... It was awesome!!! omg it got me so drunk.... We then went to a bar and played some pool... The American way once again :/ so weird... Then I went to the hotel to catch a couple hours sleep before having to go to the airport in the morning!!
Massive flying day from Portland to Bethlehem with a stop in Chicago...
I leave the hotel at 10 am and arrive at about 1230 am :/ massive massive day! Ugh
