Yet again we almost lost Vicky en route to our destination...a mix up wtih buses resulted in Vicky flinging locals out of the way screaming "STOP THE BUS" in an attempt to be reunited with us. Alas, she failed and was deposited in K.L. on a wall where she eagerly awaited our arrival. Luckily she was wise enough to inform us that she was located near a Mc'Donalds, giving us the inspiration we needed to track her down, trailing 2 cases and her heavy rucksack half way across the city!
In K.L. some locals welcomed us with a smile and others with saliva, charming!! We stayed in Chinatown, where, undeterred by our past experiences, we embraced the street food! Developing highly skilled chopstick techniques, although not quite as skilled as the talented girls in Bangkok (no hands!!)
We fully embraced our inner tourist, booking ourslves onto a hop-on hop-off bus around the city sights. After stops at the planetarium, orchid gardens, mosques, bird parks, petronas towers and the usual guff we got shown the best sight of all....a shopping mall! Our budget went out the window, as caught up in the moment we rampaged through the shops like mad women! That night we frequented an irish bar, where we were harrassed to write an irish comment on a st. patricks day t-shirt! Clare failed us miserably and we left with our heads hung in shame.
Undeterred by the prospect of not eating for a week, after the previous days spending frenzy, we ventured to yet another mall! Complete with indoor theme park which we took full advantage of! The next day an early start beckoned and so we retired to bed, eagerly anticipating sum drunken antics in Singapore...
