We haven't had much access to the internet over the last week or so but we have had a really good time and travelled from Adelaide to Melbourne. We stopped for a couple of nights in Mount Gambier where we saw the blue lake (really blue) and a sunken garden with possums in it. After that we went to Cape Bridgewater which is one of the top 10 bays in Australia. We went on a trek and saw a seal colony, even if you can't see them in the photos they were there, honest.
We had night in Port Campbell which is at the western end of the Great Ocean Road and then travelled along the coast to Lorne. On the way we saw loads of limestone rock formations that had been created by the sea. We saw a few koalas in a forest on the way as well.
The night in Lorne was a bit weird, the guy who owned the hostel wouldn't give us a key for the room because he said there was no crime and it was completely safe. We proved him wrong when Lou "borrowed" an OK magazine from the hostle, you can't trust anyone. I went fishing and caught nothing again. It chucked it down in the night and wasn't very nice when we got up this morning but we had a walk out to see one of the waterfalls. We got to Melbourne this afternoon, found the hostel and put all the bags in the room and then sprnt 2 hours trying to find somewhere to park. They were charging $40 (nearly 20 quid for 4 hours parking) so we ended up waiting until after 4pm when it was a bit cheaper but I have to pick the car up before 8am tomorrow! We have a different hostel booked for the next few nights which is a bit further out so hopefully parking will be easier. Its really busy here now because its the F1 Grand Prix on Sunday. We are going to watch it in a bar somewhere in the city if we can.
