We woke up to torrential rain this morning so decided it was a bad idea to hire a moped and we just went for some breakfast. It started to clear up a bit after that and we thought that we would give the moped a try after all. We hired a bike, planned where we were going to go (not far because its only a small island and a lot of the roads were impassable because of the rain) and set off. We started on the tarmac path, wobbled a few times with both of us on 1 bike but got used to it ok. The path then turned into a gravel track with big bumps and then we got to a steep hill. We got about half way up and both of us fell off into a ditch. Luckily no-one was looking and we didn't do any damage to the bike or ourselves. So we decided bikes weren't for us and took it back complaining that it just cut out and we got our money back.

We are going to levae on the night boat tonight because the weather is forecast to be bad here for the next few days, we could get stuck here if it gets any worse. We will arrive in Phuket tomorrow morning where we have until next Thurs with my parents before they go home. Lets hope the weather doesn't get any worse for the boat trip tonight.
