Its been a while since the lazy blog, we are getting a bit lazy. We did a 13km walk up to the top of Mount Kosiosko (Austrakia's tallest mountain) when we left Jindabyne. It was freezing at the top but there wasn't any snow yet so it wasn't too bad a walk. The hostel we stayed in was dead because it isn't the ski season yet. We had a bit of entertainment from a guy from Singapore who was really weird. He took 2 1/2 hours to make porridge on the first night, he was talking to it all the time as well. When it was 'ready' he took it to his room for about an hour then came out, wrapped it up in newspaper and threw it in the bin. The next morning he had rearranged all the furniture in the living room and on the balcony and the owner wasn't happy. He didn't have a passport when he checked in so the receptionist was making enquiries with local mental institutions and csutoms to find out where he had come from.
We had a couple of days in Canberra seing all the tourist sites. It is the weirdest capital city you could ever go to. After about 6pm there is no-one on the streets and its like a ghost town. The parliament house was good to see and the ANZAC war memorial was really good.
We are in Sydney now staying with Lou's relative Lynne. We saw the Opera House and Harbour Bridge the other day and a few more sites today. We are moving to a hostel tomorrow to get a bit closer to the city because we are about 45 minutes out here. Got loads of things still to see in Sydney so we are booking in for a week. We also have a few people to meet here (Lou's friends from school and 2 couples that we met in Laos) so we will be having a few nights out in Kings Cross.
