Arrived at Surfers Paradise is lovely! Our hostel was pretty nice, everyone in our room are nice and its only 6 beds so pretty good size. The hostel is a min walk to the beach, which is a really nice beach! The weather in Surfers was lovely all the time so spent most of our time on the beach, altho had loads of bugs which just ate me alive but other than that was good! The town is pretty good not very big but a nice size to walk around. On our first night they were doing a bar crawl so we joint that. Loads of people went out and all other hostels joint us. Was a good night but the clubs were pretty dead only had people from the bar crawl in them. Half way threw the night met some people we know from Magnetic island that was good. Pretty much did the same stuff every day in surfers but we loved it because the weather was so nice and the beach was lovely. Our hostel was a lot of fun met some guys just played drinking games in the room. Met up with adam one night, nice to see a new familiar face. Our last day in surfers was a bit cloudy and started to get colder but was better than raining all the time.
After we went to Byron Bay. The weather in Byron was awful. We booked 6 nights here and only had one sunny day. One day we went to Nimbin, which is a town full of people who get stoned all day. We didn't get to do anything we were meant to as the weather was so bad we had to come home early. Was quite a disappointing trip, but was good to see how bad the weather actually was. Everywhere had completely flooded a lot of times we had to change route as the road was blocked even though we only went threw them an hour ago. The day after was a lot better we had the only sunny day we have had in Byron so we went for a walk to the light house. That was really good had some really good views. We saw lots of dolphines, which were quite far away but there were loads. The weather started to turn bad again once we got back from the light house.
The weather was so bad all roads got cut of and buses couldn't go any further south than here so our bus got cancelled so we have now been stuck in Byron Bay for 8 nights althogether but our bus is meant to be running tomoz. Hopefully will be leaving byron by tomoz were bored of it now there is nothing to do! Hopefully the rain will hold out for a few days so we can make it to Sydney to meet Lucy's friend whos meeting us on the 29th. We should be there on time hopefully! Hopefully the weather will brighten up and have more than one day of sun in Sydney. Were meant to be having a surf lesson, which should be cancelled looking at the size of the waves there huge but will have to see tomoz if we make it on the bus!!
