Hello!!

After the worst bus journey of my life we made it to Hanoi in Vietnam! Yes it was bumpy, long, uncomfortable and dangerous with the threat of broken glass falling in on me, but hey, isn't that what everyone tells you bus journeys are like in Asia?!

Vietnam is a great city. Incredibly noisy, busy, hot and dirty but what we needed after a week or so in rural Lao. The best and most exciting way to get around is by motorbike taxi- the city is just full of motorbikes! Crossing the road has to be done slowly and preferably without looking left, coz its just too scary!

People here have been really good to us and we've learnt loads about the war in Vietnam. Including watching Appocalypse Now in our hotel room!

We've also taken a cool boat trip in Halong Bay, where we got to stay on Junk in the Bay and on a "desert island" beach resort- very relaxing! The scenery was beautiful.

Promise to put photos on soon! Sory about the elephants again, the blog site has run out of interesting photos to choose from and i always forget to bring my camera for downloading! There are some good ones of The Ladies in their new bonnets to look forward to!

Next stop Hong Kong where the ladies will part company for their China Adventures!
