Hey everyone!

Not sure how I ended up doing this but I'm currently teaching primary school kids on a boot camp, sorry I mean summer camp, in China. Yes, they wear military uniform, yes they're hard work, and yes, its chaos!

The people who are running the camp couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery and change has been a constant. On our second day we were told to organise outdoor activities for 180 students with no resources and no time to plan. Sounds a bit like a graduate training activity, accept we had to execute it! I proudly ran the egg and spoon race (with plums and a wooden spoon from the canteeen kitchen!!). Have also found myself solo singing in front of 180 kids. Not really what I signed up for or did a CELTA course for, but hey! My biological clock has been frozen by the experience, not a bad thing for a single girl.

More tales to come, but now I need to get out of this smoky internet cafe. Chinese men are lovely by the way. They smoke, spit and chew with their mouth open-nice!! Forget all the table manners your mum taught to too, spitting your bones out on the table or floor is completely fine in China.
