I¨ll be quick we´re meeting for dinner soon at the plaza. There are nine of us total in the group mainly zoology students. The first day in Cusco we were picked up from the airport around noon and took a cab to our hostel. There is much road construction going on so the traffic is horrible. I saw my first public urination during that taxi ride. Once Danna and I arrived with Sergio at the hostel we got settled and were just about to go out when we heard our first (non violent) protest happening right outside our window. Sergio only say that there is unhappiness with the road construction but won´t really go into it. Since the exciting first half hour it has been a lot of walking, meeting people, and shopping. Tommorow at 5:30 me leave for Manu and will spend the night in the cloud forestafter a boat ride down the river we will arrive at the Reserve on July 3rd. More later I´ll be able to update every other week once we settle in at the reserve.
