Saigon me encanto, mucha movida y conocimos a gente mu simpatica.
Bueno VIVA VIETNAM!!

Dear boys & gals!
Excuse my typing but theres a rat that keeps running past e & im having a major freak out plus im in my hotel (in siem reap & my rooms a few metres away,,,trying not to think about it!)
Anyway the war museum. It was amazing, the pictures were very graphic & horrorfying, brilliant entries from journalists who most later died or are still missing (obvioulsy dead) The amerians didnt just slaughter them they also threwq lots of agent orange a chemical that made sure Vietnamese people would suffer for a long time to come and there was a hideous section of the efects of that.
So many kids are born with severe deformaties even to this day & they had deformed foetuses in jars!! I swear i was speechless. I know Im sounding so biased but there was also a good section from surviving american soldiers who explain how to this day the brutality & inhumaness (is that a word?!) of that war has screwed them over big time. So when i say the ámericans'I mean USA foreign policy.
Strangey I felt happy though, happy that a country with limited resources defeated the giants taht are the USA, how they completey kicked their arses, still maintain their communist system and are now the 11th fastest growing economy in the world and thats evident all over the country, Im sure that Vietnam will look verydiferent in 20 years time, not sure if for the better but deffo different.
The following day we visited the tunnels were the Vietnamese used to hide from the US bombs. I swear they're tiny, dark, smelly, dusty jsut awful. Only one is its original size though & you can only go in until you rwaist for a photo. We were wuth some really cool english chicks &we were all too embarrassed to try as it was in front of the whole group & we had taken the piss & blatantly laughed at all the people that had got stuck, we all thought our arses, hips, boobs ect... would no way fit plus there were fitties everywhere so we spared ourselves the shame!
The tunnel that you can actuially go in & travel 90 metres underground has actually been made bigger for westerners to fit in. I was quite onfident as im smal & not claustophobic but i swear so many people were turning back & freaking out but I went in with an maerican girl & some guys. It was soo hot but not that bad, having said that I only did 30metres as someone starting screaming about a bat & I had a subterreanian freak out!!
We hung out wih the eng gals, went for dinner. I then went & blew my budget in an anti american proepagana shop. Bougt a really cool poster celebrating 50 eyears of revolution (rom the russian one) and a really cool coffee table book from all the slogans from the time $65 but totall worth it! Its my kinda thing!
Anyway yeah I really loved Vietnam, its got such fighting spirit & you can tell that by the poele & their culture, thir so different to thais and laos'', more aggressive & in yoiur face & at times it was like waling through a history book with red communist flags billowing in the wind at all street corners & slogans with Lenin & Marx on them! Its like nowhere ive been before!
Anywayonto Cambodia!!
Later folks
