Hello all from Ko Phangan.

So an update on the last day or so. We left KL with a fairly hair raising taxi journey to the airport. We were going very fast and without seatbelts which wasn't great. None of the cars over here seem to be fitted with any. So mum's don't worry. we arn't trying to be rebels!! We then had to get our plane from this deserted airport. It was huge but empty. Grabbed somelunch and then waited in this massive departure hall for our plane to arrive. We found out at check in that their were only 11 of us on the plane!!! It was very amusing. When our planned arrived we both laughed. It was tiny!!! Although was meant to seat 48. We ended up taking off late but arrived on Ko Samui in plenty of time for the last boat. We saw the sunset over Ko Samui before boarding the ferry over to Ko Phangan. It was breath taking!

The taxi that took us to palita's was hilarious it was like a pick up van. Jo's bag almost fell out of the back but we arrived safely and went to our room. Oh my goodness. It is so luxurious. We have a super king size bed and then a single bed, a wardrobe to hang our stuff in (yes) and a fabulous bathroom. It is our own little beach hut!!!! We had a fairly easy night last night. We had dinner down by the pool. I was very happy when I saw Pad Tai on the menu and then we went for a stroll along the beach and checked out a few bars. There are loads of Kiosks selling buckets of alochol. It is literally a sand bucket with a bottle of vodka in and 2 cans of coke (or any other mixer) it is around 300 bht which is about 5 pounds and they are everywhere. We then headed home for around 11ish to find our air conditioning not working. We then had to get these mexican guys to try and help us fix it but ended up not sorting it so had to speak to one of the staff members. We got it working in the end (It was a fuse in the end - Wasn't it jo!!!lol).

So today we have been realxing by the pool and the beach. Jo with her cocktail and me with my Gin and tonic. We are planning on heading up to the bars this evening to experience some thai nightlife.......to be continued
