Hello there,
Well i thought i'd write saying i was in Canberra (was there last night on the way back from Melboroune, staying at my friend Jessie's parents place!) I am now back in Sydney, currently at work with Jessie.
So my trip down south was great. The weather the 1st day was rubbish, so cold, wet & windy, i had to buy a winter hat. That day we visited a number of beaches, Bell's Beach & went to Appollo Bay for the night. We even visited the lighthouse from the programme 'Around the Twist'..remember?? The people in my group were really nice & friendly. That night on the campsite I touched a real Kola who was on the decking. I even saw wild Kangaroos, an eagle and more road kill animals on the drive back to Sydney.
The second day of the trip was awesome...we drove to the 12 Apostles in the morning and i went up in a helicopter over the site- this was such a brill experience. We then visited Loch Arch Shipwreck and i took loads of photos there. Then we drove to 'London Bridge' and then a few other beaches. We then headed to the Grampians to stay at a place called 'Asses Ears' named after one of the mountains.
The 3rd day we trek up mount Stapleton and wow the view was amazing but my camera battery had died, so other members of the group took some photos of me. We then visited the national park centre and Mackenize Waterwall.
I had a wonderful time on the Great Ocean Road...its so beautiful!
On the Friday Jessie, Nick and I headed to the Merdith Music festival and what a random experience this was. It rained the whole weekend and i didn't have the right clothes to deal with the wet and the cold weather. The 1st night 4 of us slept in the 2man tent and then on Saturday night 3 of us slept in a car...it was so cold, i even slept in my hat! I watched a few bands...MGMT played on sat night...they were ok, not really a crowd pleaser. Sunday Jessie, Nick and I went to the theatre in the city to see Wicked and it was brilliant!
So my time in Melbourne was really busy and i was so lucky to have my buddy Nick down there to look after me. Jessie & i drove to her parents yesterday and then got up at 4am this morning to head back to Sydney.
I can't believe Christmas is around the corner...i am off to the coast with Jessie next Wednesday, spending 3days on the boatcwith her family, then we plan to go camping for a few days!
New Years will be spent i think on the beach...so exciting!
Missing you all...not sure if people are still reading this but hey ho! xxx
