It was quite bizarre being in a new country where most people were taller than me! We entered our 10 bed dorm and crashed out for a while and then went food shopping. We both got rather over excited at the prospect of a fully functioning supermarket with things like heinz beans and ribena!!!!!
The following day we met sam and explored George St with him on the free bus. The weather was pretty chilly for us but the sun was always shining. So it is Firday and we are meeting Mum and Dad for the first time in three and a half months. After an emotional reunion at their hotel we spent ages catching up with all the gossip about all of our trips and saw their photos from the previous few days in Cairns and Brisbane. Later that afternoon we took a trip to Paddy´s market and then onto Darling Harbour to have dinner (amazing burgers etc) at the Black bird Cafe!
The following day we took the shuttle to Circular Quay and walked around to catch our first glimpse of the Opera house. We stopped in the Botanical Gardens for lunch and basked in the sunshine. Dinner was at an Irish pub of all places and we have the brit classic of fich and chips yum! Sunday morning and we went Whale watching, didnt see much so got a free ride for the Tues morning. Visited the Rocks in the afternoon and then had a quiet night in.
