Hi all, we're back in Bangkok and on our last night in Asia. We fly to Australia tomorrow for Christmas in Adelaide which we're both looking forward to. It feels strange for us not to be in England for Christmas and it will be a lot harder for Catherine than it will for me.
We've spent our last day bargain hunting at the Chatuchak weekend market, and our last evening will be spent boozing it up on Khao San Road and toasting 4 months of succesful travelling around Asia. The first part of our journey has been great and we've really enjoyed it. At times it's been hard and frustrating but all in all it's been a great experience. The next part our trip will be travelling around Australia but we're looking forward to a few weeks of normality with the family and being in one place for more than 10 minutes (slight exaggeration).
Our time on the Thai islands was great and the relaxtion and sunbathing was just what we needed. Our pictures from Koh Tao are beautiful and we really didn't want to leave. Koh Samui was ok but a bit too much like a resort, although we did bump into some friends from Burnley there!
We hope that everyone back home enjoys their christmas and New Year and we'll miss you all. We'll have a tinny around the barby on Christmas day for friends and family back home, in typical Aussie cliche style. Merry Christmas everyone!
