Only 31 miles from where we were staying, was the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument...where it all began. It was discovered by a friar in 1694, but historians dates the site back to 1100 CE (Common Era). This area was named Casa Grande (Grand House), because of the 4 story adobe building. I don't know what is about walking where ancients walked before us, but the presence of spirits living among everything present flitting on soft breezes singing subtle chants...
