Yesterday we went on another walking tour, ( we are really loving the walking tours they are cheap, you get to see lots of the top spots and you walk heaps :) ) we went around the old town of Barcelona and learnt about all the history we saw lots of churches, roman ruins and other historical places. After the tour we had a nice lunch at a little tapas restaurant I had a really nice chicken dish and Brett had steak and it was a bit tough. We then explored the beach it was really overcast, windy and cold.
Today we woke up to find a beautiful sunny day so we ditched our plans and headed to the beach, we didn't go to the ones with all the tourist, we found another one a little bit further away. We arrived at the beach there weren't too many people, there was lots of sun chairs and umbrellas set up every where, we decided to pay for one for the day it was €17 - $24 we thought it was ok for the whole day and so we did not get brunt like a lobster. We noticed a lot of people had no tops on Brett decided to join them and let's say when in Barcelona! We spent the whole day at the beach getting our money's worth out of the chair, people came around with drinks I got a Mojito and Brett had a beer. We had lunch at the beach cafe and then back to our chairs for some more relaxing and people watching. We noticed that there were no seagulls only pigeons on the beach, which was strange. Brett and I have developed over the past three weeks an ugly sunnies tan or raccoon tan as we call it so today we did not wear our sunnies which was very painful but hopefully our raccoon tan has gotten better.
