Today we caught the plane to the airport to go to Athens our flight was 1240 we left our hotel at 10 to get the train thinking it would be plenty of time but by the time we got to the airport and checked our bags ( which they classed as over size even though they weight 14 kg each, they said due to all the straps) we then made our way to the gate which was boarding. Next time we will leave earlier, it showed us how convenient trains are and how you can get there 30 mins before or not even and jump straight on without checking in. The plane trip was 2 hours and went pretty quick I think the plane was full of Aussies. We arrived got a train to the city which took for ever the airport is out quite a bit from the city. We found our hotel pretty easy, we think we are in a dodgy area as there is hookers on the corners of the streets at night and they run when the cops come, we have a balcony so we can watch. Lol We had to do some washing but they did not have a dryer so our room and balcony looks like a Chinese laundry with clothes every where. Hehe
