Today we headed out to the beach by trams it took about 45 mins, we arrived and paid to go to a private beach with chairs and a umbrella it was only €5 each which was cheap compared to other places. Today we set out on foot and in the heat to discover Athens. We headed down what we thought was going to be a shopping area but it wasn't and it was a very dodgy street it smelt and had graffiti every where we got back onto another street and ended up finding some ruins we looked at them for a while before heading to the Acropolis a lovely walk mainly up hill. Today we caught the plane to the airport to go to Athens our flight was 1240 we left our hotel at 10 to get the train thinking it would be plenty of time but by the time we got to the airport and checked our bags ( which they classed as over size even though they weight 14 kg each, they said due to all the straps) we then made our way to the gate which was boarding.
