Today we left Prague for a quick overnight stop in Dresden, we caught the train which was only 2.5 hours but in that time I experienced one of my fears being locked in a small toilet, the lock would not open it was jammed and then I started to try to open the door with the handle and it came off, I starting knocking hoping some one would eventually come as there was a window but it was looked shut, freaking out a little. Lucky some one starting knocking back at me as I could not hear any thing as the train toilets are very loud from the engine a little while after 2 coppers and a couple of guy manage to open the door. Thank goodness and Brett only just realising just before i got out that there was some commotion happening, he was listening to music with his noise cancelling head phones and didn't think i was gone very long, men hehe. I m a bit nervous about going to the toilet now on the train. We arrived in Dresden dropped off our bags and went exploring, Dresden was really amazing, theres only about 20% of the old city remaining after the bombing in world war 2. Theres a big church in the main square that was nearly totally destroyed apart from one wall, that wall is still there and theve build onto it replicating the old church. All the old buildings are a charcol black colour from the fires after the bombings which burnt for 7 days. We had a great afternoon had a big beer ( radler for me beer and sprite AKA shandy ) down by the river then watched the sun go down and admired the old building at night.
