okay, well its just gone 6pm, i only have 30minutes free internet and ive already used most of them. IM SHATTERED. Got the train at 9pm last night from KL to Singapore. At 6am they woke us up, we got off the train did some passport control...i thought we were here early. Then we got BACK on the train... an hour later we actually arrived although i was abit suspicious. So i got to the hostel to find out i couldnt check in until 12. I wondered what i was really paying for and whether i could just sleep in the airport tonight. So i dumped my bag and headed out to explore. Took a walk around Little India, saw some temples, took some pictures. Then got the MRT (monorail) which is incredibly good, out of town, to the Zoo. Had to wait a while for the connecting bus and then queue for over an hour just to buy a ticket... I was trying to be patient with the screaming children but it was tough. The zoo was amazing and i'll put pictures up when i get the chance. Although i dont really agree with them having polar bears there, they were awesome creatures. They have like a big pool and the glass is underwater so I was able to see them diving for fish and swimming about, and although they're HUGE they were really graceful, but i think the calming classical music was playing its part in that. So i had some horribly greasy pasta thing for lunch there, and then headed back into town. Walked along Orchard Road which is basically the biggest series of massive shopping malls and people with bags you have EVER seen, and some horrid xmas decorations too. I didnt buy anything, it was hard enough to just walk along the street so i didnt venture into anywhere, took some touristy pictures of the louis vitton shop. Then i got a MRT to City hall, near the Raffles Hotel (Mr. Raffles was the founder of Singapore, and his hotel is where they invented the 'Singapore Sling' Cocktail). So I had one of them in there, and it was 25dollars.... very very expensive. But nice. Abit like a sweety, kinda fzzy in a sherbert way. Then it started to drizzle abit so i walked back to the hostel, checked in, had a much needed shower, and then changed my money to AUS dollars and logged on. I hope everyone had a good xmas and is just as full on boxing day, i know i would be if i was cooking!
