I'm now spending my second evening in KL, after not arriving here til sunset yesterday and having left the beach campsite at 8am... it was a long journey, an unnecessarily long one so i wasnt too impressed. Especially when you add in a lack of money and no food or water. So that was stupid of me, but i think i have now managed to get up to speed with my eating and water consumption. Tonight the guesthouse im staying in is putting on a xmas meal so im looking forward to that. Today i went to the Batu Caves, which i was inspired to go and see maybe a year ago, when i saw a picture that Sally posted on FB and asked her about it. It feels good that its something i've wanted to do for ages and now i've taken all the steps necessary to be there and experience it myself. So after getting the bus there and back i wandered around Chinatown, the central market, where i had some noodley thing for lunch and a distinctly sour tasting mango juice, and then up to afew temples. I also bought something for Ria and myself to enjoy when i get back. Although i suspect it'll need to be posted, depending on whether i can squish it into my bag, but its fragile so i guess not, oh and australia probably wont allow me in with it anyway. It does seem cheap here, but i think it's mainly just a misconception brought about by the fact things cost 5MR rather than 50B sooo yeah, its just one less digit makes it all seem cheap but its actually more expensive than thailand. It's Xmas eve today and i can honestly say ive never felt so unexcited about xmas, im actually hoping i will have things to do tomorrow. I plan to go and see the Petronas Towers abit closer and walk through little india district before making my way to the train station for 8pm to get the overnight train to Singapore. It doesnt feel like it'll be whirlwind, but alas i think it will end that way. I hope you're all having a festive time back home, or not festive if thats what you've chosen this year, so perhaps just a nice rest from work, and that you're enjoying my blog. I've just uploaded the last of my thailand photos and the ones from KL today so that's another job out of the way. Merry christmas to you all :)
