Well im currently not feeling too healthy, i had some iced ancient thai coffee, and some fried rice for lunch,, and felt okay until about an hour after and now i feel boiling hot, so i hope this passes and i can get on with my day. We left Koh Phi Phi this morning and arrived in Phuket at 10.30am. So I've got a room now and settled in abit, there is even a hot shower! and went and took a picture of the ON ON HOTEL (featured in the film 'The Beach'). and looked at the market which was pretty poor. Finally found an internet place, and it happens to be cheap and fast so thats a bonus. I was hoping sitting down and distracting myself with a blog would make me feel better but it hasnt worked yet. It seems postcards are starting to arrive in full force back home and ive had some messages to say thanks, which is always nice. I dont think i will stay in Phuket Town very long, although it's cheap, as i want to head north on the island so that i'm near to the airport for my flight on tuesday. It's very hot here today, and i think that without any sea breeze and lots of cars and tarmac you dont get the same respite as on the smaller islands. Yesterday Chris and Angelina arrived on phi phi and we took a boat trip around phi phi don and phi phi leh, which was pretty good. We went to Maya Bay which is the setting for the beach in the film of the same name, but it was pretty packed and you had to pay 200B to step of the boat so we declined after taking many a picture, and the other bay on the island, phileh was very nice, and truely seemed like paradise. A very secluded cove with sandy spots and just afew boats in there, it was lovely until the fish started to bite us! After that i wasnt so keen on snorkelling although the view of the fish from the boat was ample enough as the water was crystal clear. The boat trip was abit rough at times and i felt sick for a while, got drenched completely at another point, but im glad we went. Phi Phi was lovely but the tsunami warning signs were abit off-putting, it's hard to believe there was so much devestation there and it's pretty much all back to how it was. I hope that phi phi leh, the smaller island, manages to illude the developers as there is currently no accommodation or shops and the only way to visit is by boat or an overnight camping trip, it would be a shame for all of the islands to become touristy. Anyway, Phuket seems fairly relaxed, abit like Kanchanaburi but bigger and less green. It seems strange to think i only have 4 days left in Thailand, but i hope they will be worthwhile and not too costly as the islands stretched my budget more than i had anticipated.
