After another stop we soon made it to San Fransisco! Now I don't know why but this is a city I've always wanted to visit and was really looking forward to it.
We got there late afternoon and so just went in the evening but luckily there was stuff going on-independence day fireworks at Fishermans Wharf! So we went there and watched them-very cool and then me and Sam went and bought San Fran hoodies like proper tourists! But it was just so freezing! We weren't used to it after all this 40/50 degree heat! Now we were in the 20s again?! Brrr! We had a nice supper and then made our way back to the RV, back home!
The next day was our main San Fran day and it was awesome! After getting into town we waited in this massively long queue to go on the old style cable cars across the city. We went from Powell to Hyde street and even saw the 'Crookedest Street' which was very cool and has apparently feautured in some movies!
But anyway, our main thing we were doing today was hiring bikes and cycling along the waters edge, across the Golden Gate Bridge and into the little town of Sausolito! Wow it was more tiring than you'd think but really enjoyable. Stunning views. And the Golden Gate Bridge was just awesome! The views were beautiful too-I didn't realize it was all hilly/moiuntainous as well as the sea. Now this is a city I could see myself in-the mix of urban life and countryside just seems balanced. Just beautiful.
Anyway, me and Sam raced back as we were going to see Eclipse tonight! :o Exhausted afterwards and practically had to be pushed up the last hill by a few people, a bit embarrassing! BUT WE MADE IT! Yay!
Oh then it was ECLIPSE time! Ah exciting stuff! So pretty! And the extra cool thing is we met them! We saw all those people in real life! :D
Back quite late but tomorrow we would leisurely start to make our way down the coast and back to LA. Although this does mean it's coming to an end… :S Sad times.
