After Vegas, bit of a difference, came the Grand Canyon! WHOAH this was incredible. We were lucky enough to be staying inside the park which meant we were about a half hour walk from the Rim! We were at the South Rim and walked along it and got buses and stuff so we could go all the way. Unfortunately didn't hike down into it, but I think I will have to be a bit more fit for that! Next time. We also went to sunrises and sunsets over the canyon, simply stunning. Breathtaking.

But then we had to leave again! Now on our way to Yosemite National Park. This was a big drive so we stopped at the Calico Ghost Town which was cool; an old silver mining town. Before we got to Yosemite we stayed just outside it and went White Water Rafting on the Merced River! Ah it was AWESOME! So much fun and the first time for the rest of my family so we all just had a laugh. Were in a boat with this irish father and sweetest, most well mannered little 11 year old son! Such a blast! Or as our awesome guide would say RIGHT ONNN!! She was very cool and so funny! We had a great day on the river.

Then we were into Yosemite! Beautiful place. Wow. We did a few different, just short walks to different falls and view points and lakes and all sorts! Just stunning to be honest. Definitely not enough time there and (again when more fit) would like to do the big 8/10 hour walks as my guess is it would be totally worth it. Still had an amazing time though!
