Today we started off by going to the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island museum. We took a boat from the mainland to the Statue of Liberty first. Today we bussed from Boston to New York City. Our first spot was Central Park, where we mostly took pictures of ourselves on certain rocks and saying "I'm standing on a huge pile of schist!" It seemed like tourists and locals alike took part in this tradition, which I could guess by listening to the accents of people. Today we started by going back to Cobb's Hill cemetery for a bit more information. After that we went down to a shop so that if anyone wanted to get a Harvard sweatshirt, they could, because sweatshirts at Harvard cost more than they would anywhere else. Today we started in Boston by going to the Boston Public Garden. The garden was beautiful, with too many kinds of trees to count and a pond with swan boats going around. There were statues of ducklings that were to commemorate the book "Make Way for Ducklings", which is the official book of the Boston commonwealth. I am very excited to go on my trip to the Eastern Seaboard in two days. We will be visiting Boston, New York City, Washington D.C, and Williamsburg. There was so much history that happened in this area of the country involving the American Revolution that we will be able to learn about.
