So afer about 7 weeks of travelling in SA, we find ourselves back where we started, Santiago. It also marked our 10 months away from home point, which sadly means only 2 months to go!!

Our 2nd visit here wasn't much more eventful than our first and did nothing to improve my impression of Santiago, which won't be making it onto my top places in the world list. It didn't help that I was pick pocketed whilst walking across the main plaza, thankfully I was awake and alert and managed to leg it after the lady, grab her and get my wallet back before she had chance to actually take anything from it, I was a lucky one. My post, containing all of my memories from Oz and NZ had been sent from here on my first visit and my return saw me chasing this up in the post office and after a lot of talking, sign language and internet work I eventually tracked it down, I am so pleased!!

Our hostel here was rubbish, not even a kitchen for us to cook in, we did meet a few friends and went out to experience Santiago night life in the Bella Vista district, which was fun! The next day saw me actually paying half a room rate to stay in bed until it was time to catch our next bus. Not sad to be once again leaving Santiago behind.
