Because we didn't achieve anything yesterday we decided to spend an extra night and have 2 full days in Barcelona.

After a long night's sleep ventured out into Barcelona city.

Stopped into a cafe for breakfast and planned our day. Decided to amble around the streets to get our bearings. Checked out a few shops along the way and bought Chris a long-sleeved T-shirt as was pretty cold.

Stumbled across covered market. Loads of fresh produce, meat, cheese and loads of nuts and lollies. Yum yum!

Visited Barcelona's cathedral. Unfortunately spire covered in scaffolding but interior still spectacular.

Trying to adjust our stomachs to Spanish time is proving difficult but managed to hold off searching for restaurant for dinner till after 8 ish. Stumbled across nice looking restaurant and sat at bar for our first Tapas experience. Ordered what we thought was 2 glasses of red wine and ended up with a bottle of Rose....whoops....oh dear how sad....not!

After some yummy tapas (mmm garlic prawns) which we had to wait a while for as they seemed to have forgotten our order we went for a wander and ended up at an Irish bar where we chatted to a couple of nice English guys who were over for the Arsenal/Barcelona football match (Barcelona won).
