Laden with our tandem paraglider, some camping gear, a snack and the essential G&T to enjoy at the summit, we headed out from Soleilhas, via Col de Bate to Crete de Teillon.
After about 3.5 hours (with at least half of that I was wishing I was a mountain goat) we reached the summit. (6250ft)
My legs didn't want to work anymore! Waiting for sunset wasn't an option as that was at least 3 hours away! So we enjoyed our meal at the summit and then set up camp in a protected gulley just below. We snuggled up into our sleeping bags for a well deserved rest!
We had a surprisingly good sleep and after watching the day dawn we headed for the summit once again to launch.
The wind was from the East which was ideal as it meant we could launch and land near the car! A beautiful flight and a grande finale to our first Vol Bivouac.
