Well, this is it. My last entry ever! I'm going to miss my journal, I've had great fun writing it. Although I can't miss it too much, as my Dad has printed it all out for me and put it into a big book so I'll always have the memories! We arrived home on Sunday afternoon after a 10 hour flight from Beijing. I can't say there were too many tears leaving China - sad as we were for the end of our trip it was nice to escape the clouds! The flight was boring as you would expect, but we started to get very excited a couple of hours before landing! There was a brief moment of panic at the baggage reclaim when they announced a delay due to a fire at the plane - we both had visions of our bags coming off the carousel charred and smoking - but thankfully this was not to be and 5 minutes later we were escaping out of the airport and back into the arms of our families! Everyone came to welcome us back which was lovely, it was so good to see everyone again after so long. And even better was getting back to a home made dinner - my Mum had asked what I wanted and followed my instructions to the letter - how spoiled am I?!? But of course now reality is beginning to sink in - the trip that we were planning for so long is over, and now we have to become productive members of society. The job hunt has begun, although so far it has been a fruitless search - it doesn't really help that I don't have the first idea what I want to do! I'm going to have to get a job at some point though - otherwise how am I going to save up for my next adventure.........? So long for now! Caroline x
