So after 3 months of backpacking SE Asia (well on occasions flashpacking!!!!!) I am now back home in good old England and damm its cold, I have had the heating on all day!! Well I'm still wearing my flip-flops, shorts, tops and beeds - so its all good. During my time I have visited 4 countries, Thailland (North), Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand (South) and visted the following places: Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Chiang Mai, Luang Prabang, Vang Vien, Vientienne, Hanoi, Halong Bay, Cat Ba, Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Saigon, Siem Reep, Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Bangkok again, Koh Phi Phi Don, Koh Phi Phi Lei, RaiLay, Koh Lanta, Koh Tarutao, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao and Bangkok once more! A few travelling songs that spring to mind that all the bars play are: Sultans of Swing (Dire Straights), Californication (Chillies), By the Way (Chillies), Three Little Birds (Bob Marley), Buffalo Solider (Bob Marley), Fans (Kings of Leon)...lots more but cant think of them at the mo. Its really hard to give a top 3 places, however I would say the Siem Reep, Vang Vien and Koh Tao would be up there. My favourite food has to be Thai, and the dish is Seafood Red Curry with steamed rice and an ice cold Singha beer :) I have met some really cool people and would try to keep in touch with some of you, it would be impossible to keep in touch with everyone. I have so many memories and highlights....some highlights would have to be Trekking in Chiang Mai, Tubing in Vang Vien, Meeting Sarah in Hanoi, Sand Sledging (even though you didnt go all the fast!), Cu Chi Tunnels, Siem Reep and the Temples of Ankor, Camping overnight on Maya Bay (Where they filmed The Beach), Rock Climbing on RaiLay and the partying on Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. Back in reality now, going back to work in 5 days for the normal 8am-5pm hours and the crappy train journies in to London.
