Another great week! Tuesday (world Aids day) I joined a protest/picket line (whatever you call it) handing out flyers, info and condoms to raise HIV/AIDS awarenews by the main road near our township - reactions were mixed - some people delighted and supportive others still in denial ... "its gods way" was the protest of one man - the whole communities are largely affected and there are certainly children in all our creches that are living with it day to day so it felt great to be able to do something directly in the comunity to help albeit a bit scary at times.

Work was tough this week - down to one staff member so i ended up with about 30 kids this week - we didnt get much actually done but i managed to stop them killing each other - although i did struggle with a hangover when one of the boys knocked the others front teeth out wrestling and i had to help sort him out!!! Urghhhhh

Wed eve was fun - drinks at banana jam cafe in Kenillworth with the surf project volunteers and caught up with a fried (Blessed) from Zimbabwe who is down here for a few days. After that ... Friday Whoop whoop - for those of you who were watching the world cup draws well i was in that crush of millions on long street in cape town jumping up and down with a yellow football hat on and blowing a horn ... did you see me???? No i doubt it ha ha but it was a great afternoon/night (even though Beckham was a guest)!!!

The rest of the weekend (well yesterday was a write off) head in huge sling but today im back on form back at the beach and planning what to do when my placemeet ends this week. Im looking at a flight to tanzania to go back to Zanzibar for a bit, visit from firends and maybe volunteer up there locally before i head to India. BIg MWAH xxxxxxxxxx
