Just arrived in Swakomund (all name spelling guessed in Namibia as I just cant get the language/accent) after two days in Etosha national park - amazing campsite with great facilities which had a floodlit waterhole you could sit and watch all night - the waterhole has daily visits from families of elephants, rhinos, springbok, giraffes (watching them drink is amazing) not to mention all the normal jackals, herds of zebras etc ...... feel terribly spoilt but must admit that its only really the lions and elephants that get the wow's nowadays!! After Etosha and a restless night hearing the lions roaring in the morning we headed on a long drive to Bush camp in Skitzkopfe (or something) last night, amazing rock formations and impressive sunset/sunrise. It was halloween so we attempted ghost stories but to be honest im still more spooked by the drop toilets, scorpions and snakes than the ghosts!!!!
We have two nights now in a backpackers (welcome relief from the tent) to spend time in the Namib desert. I've opted to go sandboarding tomorrow and plan to spend all of tomorrow avo updating this and maybe even getting some photos up!! ... Maybe haha xx
